THE COST OF THE DEFAULT DECISION

Every "just replace it" is money walking out the door.

The expensive failures in aerospace are quiet ones. A repairable component scrapped because nobody built the substantiation. An OEM invoice paid at list because no alternate pathway was ever qualified. A SAR package rejected for documentation gaps, taking the contract with it. A teardown report accepted at face value because no one on staff could challenge it.

None of these show up as line items. All of them compound. We put senior DER engineering behind these decisions so the defensible answer and the profitable answer are the same one.

Approach

How Engagements Work

Technical Consultation & Assessment

Initial call to understand operational friction. Gap assessment follows to define precise objectives, constraints, and resources.

Scope & Structure

We architect a fixed-scope sprint for targeted projects or structure a monthly retainer+ engineering/BD for ongoing longer projects.

Execution

Remote-first execution integrated with your internal team when needed. Targeted on-site visits deployed only when the work dictates it.

ABOUT THE FOUNDER

CURTIS HICKLING

Curtis brings three decades of aerospace operating experience across FAA Part 145 repair stations, MRO, quality, production, supply chain, and business development, earned at major primes and airlines, tier 1 and tier 2 suppliers, and third party repair stations serving civil and military customers.

He knows the pain points that slow these businesses down. Long lead times, rising OEM pricing, obsolescence, and single source dependency all tie up capital and put schedules at risk. Curtis founded the firm to solve exactly these problems, and he built a team to do it, bringing together FAA-DER engineers, supply chain specialists, and quality and program support.

Together they create engineered solutions and alternate supply chain opportunities that reduce cost, shorten lead times, and remove single points of failure. The team has run these operations, passed these audits, and built the certification and capability packages that open new sources of supply. Clients engage the firm to compress years of trial and error into weeks and to move with the confidence that comes from proven judgment. If those pain points sound familiar, Curtis and his team welcome a conversation. Book a call to discuss where your operation is today and where it needs to be.

How much is the default decision costing you?

One conversation is usually enough to spot the first opportunity. Book a technical consultation and bring us your hardest part, repair, or sourcing problem.
